The perfect holiday cocktail …
Raspberry Kir Royale

A traditional Kir Royale is made with creme de cassis, a dark currant liqueur.
I prefer Chambord, a raspberry liqueur.
It comes in an elegant bottle. A pretty addition to any bar.
Here’s what you’ll need …
1. Chambord
2. Champagne or a dry sparking wine
I used a 2016 Domaine Carneros Brut.
Did I tell you I worked for Domaine Carneros? That’s a story for another day.
A full bottle (750 ml) of Sparkling Wine will serve 4. And, a half bottle (375 ml) will serve 2.
3. Fresh Raspberries
Here’s what to do …
- Add 1/2 to 1-ounce Chambord to each flute.
- Top with a dry Champagne or sparking wine or Prosecco. Pour carefully (slowly) to avoid bubble over.
- Garnish with fresh raspberries.
Et voila!
If you want to be really fancy, you can rim each glass with sugar.
I found a non-alcoholic version of the Raspberry Kir Royale from Rachael Ray.
It looks delicious too!
Did you see my Instagram video?! There may or may not have been a bubble-over incident.
