Our landscape renovation has been going on nearly four months and we're just about done. Lighting is next ... path lighting and patio cafe lights. I can't wait.

Our landscape designer and builder is Enchanting Planting. They do the most beautiful work around the Bay Area. We feel fortunate they took on our job. I'm working on a blog post about the garden transformation including all the materials and plants we used.

Happy Monday! . Bad news: we lost power last night

Happy Monday!

Bad news: we lost power last night due to high winds and dangerous fire conditions. Good news: our generator works! So so news: Xfinity is down and we have no ability to text, use phone, email, or anything along those lines. I had an appointment 30 minutes away hence my ability to make this post. Hopefully power back late tonight. 🤞🏻

When I shared my Fall Home Tour on the blog I neglected to include one of my favorite things ... an empty, pumpkin shaped tequila bottle. It's sitting on our beverage bar. I'd forgot about it until I found it, carefully wrapped in the bottom of my fall decor bin.
.
Jim and I celebrated Thanksgiving at the @wapedregal several years ago. What an amazing experience ... and one of my favorite hotels ever. We did a tequila tasting one evening and I made such a fuss over this bottle they gave it to me. It made it home on the plane, through several moves and two years in storage.

I'm so glad I found it ... it's a fall decor essential. 🎃

To call Snowberry's front porch a porch is perhaps a stretch ... but it's what we've got and I'm calling it a porch. Adding a teak park bench makes me happy ... and I sit out here quite a bit.

Snowberry's landscaping renovation is nearing the

Snowberry's landscaping renovation is nearing the end. We're so happy to be able to enjoy outdoor living again. And, grateful to live in a place where fall is more an extension of summer.
.
It's been almost two years since we sold our coastal home in Washington and returned to California. This gate was made for that house, but it didn't work out due to a slope in the walkway. It's so pretty and beautifully made, we decided packed it up and bring it with us ... and hope that we might be able to utilize it in our next home. Turns out, we could and did! The fence and trellis still needs paint but I love it so much I can't wait to show it off.

A little fall tablescape anyone?

It really feels like fall here in Northern California. Cool, crisp mornings and evenings ... with warm days in between. If you've seen my stories about our pumpkin thief, we caught Mr. Squirrel in the act. He's so cute and we enjoy watching him dig in. So far he's stayed away from the porch pumpkins. I'm resupplying the fence mini's to keep him distracted and off the porch.

I can't tell you how excited we are about our (nearly) finished back patio!

The squirrels are winning. It's a pumpkin massacre over here. Or a smorgasbord.

I bought an amazing, larger pumpkin for our driveway ... I'll post a photo in stories. It has the coolest stem. The squirrels came for it yesterday and that's where I draw the line.
.
Several of you mentioned hairspray as a deterrent. Thank you. That's the route I'm going with the big pumpkin. The squirrels can enjoy the smaller pumpkins. I'm a reasonable person. And, they're so cute. It's fun to watch them nibbling away.
