A Little Cutie is on the Way … My Nieces Baby Shower

A little cutie is on the way!

My niece, Samantha, hosted a baby shower for her sister, Sophia.

It was so much fun and Sam graciously allowed me to share photos

and details of the happy event.

My eldest nieces, Sophia and Samantha!

Here are Sam and Sophie joined by their younger sister, Shelby, and Sam’s daughter.

They’re a fierce foursome and they have my heart.

All my nieces!

Sophie, a first time mother-to-be, is due in early August. She’s having a girl!

Sam chose a winery close to Sophie’s home to hold the shower … Dono dal Cielo Vineyard.

The shower was planned as an outdoor, afternoon event but morphed into an indoor, morning event when an unexpected heatwave sent temperatures soaring to 109 degrees.

Yikes.

The change turned out to be a blessing and we all stayed cool as cucumbers inside Dono dal Cielo’s delightful tasting room.

It feels like yesterday I was hosting Samantha’s baby shower.

Her little cutie will turn three next month.

Time flies.

My sweet little great-niece taste testing shower favors!

Samantha chose a tangerine and sage color palette for the shower decor.

Cocktail height wine barrel tables, set for four, dotted the tasting room.

A favor table placed in front of a barrel rack was decorated with eucalyptus leaves and little cutie tangerines.

Everything was so pretty.

Everyone wanted their picture with the mama-to-be!

The shower was originally planned as an afternoon event

with individual charcuterie plates for each guest to enjoy while sipping Dono dal Cielo wines outside.

When the shower was moved inside … and to the morning … Sam ordered a big basket of muffins from The Baker and the Cake Maker in Auburn.

Their grande muffins were so delicious we forgot to take photos.

After devouring muffins at the beginning of the shower, we were ready to dig into our cheese and charcuterie plates while watching Sophie open her gifts.

Over by the balloon garland, this adorable table was set around floor pillows … it became another favorite photo setting.

Isn’t this a great idea … a table created with warehouse pallets?!

We captured some fun photos of Sophie lounging on the pillows.

If I posted them she’d kill me.

What a wonderful morning!

Sam did brilliant work creating the shower of Sophie’s dreams.

I love my nieces so much.

Not having children of my own, they are like daughters to me and it’s such a blessing to be part of their lives.

I’m so excited about the arrival of my grand-niece, Haddie!

Happy Auntie!

Last week I shared our family room renovation process and I enjoyed all of your comments.

Next week I’ll be back with the final room reveal.

Stay tuned!

As always, I appreciate your visit and welcome your thoughts in the comments below.
