Do you love Valentine’s Day?
I love Valentine’s Day.
It’s a fun, frivolous day to celebrate love … and chocolate, and flowers, and dinner dates, and soul baring love notes, and …
Front porches!

Are you ready for my Valentine’s Day porch decor?
Don’t blink or you’ll miss it.
That’s it.
A cute, hearted pillow and an ivory throw.
Et Voila!
Let’s talk about that pillow.
Subtle, blush colored hearts on an ivory background with pompom corner tassels.
That’s amore.
But wait, there’s more …
This woven heart wreath.
Isn’t it sweet?
The wreath is super lightweight and Jim was able to hang it with a 3M Command Strip … no holes were drilled in the siding.
We’re squeamish about that. I’m not sure why.
Visiting the nursery this time of year is pretty grim.
It’s slim pickings.
I found this tall, boxwood-ish topiary. I’m not sure what it is … I accidentally tossed the tag.
Whatever it is, it works!
Under-plantings of white, trailing flowers fill in the basket.
And pink and white annuals add a Valentine vibe.
And, then there’s my trusty lantern-for-all-seasons with a flameless candle next to the front door.
Oops, with all the cute Valentine themed door mats out there … I neglected to buy one.
My wine and dog treats mat will have to do.
I did pick up a black and white plaid rug from the Studio McGee collection at Target.
I love the tassel edge detail.
It’s a little larger than my other plaid under-mat and I like the bigger size.
What does this have to do with Valentine’s Day?
Absolutely nothing.
But the heart pillow and wreath … plus pink and white flowers have me covered.
So, here you have it. Snowberry’s Valentine’s themed front porch.
A little something something to set a tone of Valentine festivity for anyone approaching …
which these days is pretty much limited to our UPS and Door Dash drivers.
What am I wearing you ask? Well … I’ll tell you.
Jeans from Target … yes, Target.
I’m trying to lose my Quarantine-10 and refuse to spend much on any item of clothing until its gone.
But, these jeans! Just enough stretch, not too high waisted and so comfy. And the price is right.
My JCrew mock turtleneck is no longer available but I found similar sweaters here and here.
I bought these faux snake skin booties last fall. I love them and they go with everything.
This is my winter uniform … when I’m forced to leave the house.

Later this week I’m sharing my Valentine / Galentine tea party table!
No, I won’t really be be hosting a tea party this year.
But practice makes perfect. By next Valentine’s Day I’ll be the tea party hostess with the mostest.
Stay tuned.

Need a next level Valentine’s gift idea?
Pastreez Macaroons
My sister sent us a box for Christmas.
Neither of us is a fan of macaroons. Or so we thought.
Holy moly … these macaroons are amazing. We ate the entire box in a matter of days.
Pastreez Macarons
Even Jim, who doesn’t have a sweet tooth, elbowed me out of the way as we made a mad dash for the macaroons after dinner.
Our favorites are the chocolate, salted caramel and red velvet.
And they’re making heart shaped macaroons for Valentine’s Day.
As always, I appreciate your visit and would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
I’ll be back later in the week with my Valentine’s Tea Party.
Until then, cheers from Snowberry!

This is so sweet! Love the subtle details! Very classy.
Thanks, Tonya … I hope you have a lovely Valentine’s Day! xo
Beautiful front porch, Juliet! I love how you styled it! I really like the planters!!! Your topiary looks like it might be mrytle! thanks for sharing!!!
A myrtle?! Thank you! I’m going to google it! I’m so mad at myself for tossing the plant tags … I always try to save them. Oh well. Hope this guy is happy on the porch … it doesn’t get much, if any, sun so it’s a tough spot. Thanks for stopping by … and for the compliments! xo
Love your dry humor and subtle porch decor. Sweet right down to pink and red bloom vibes. Candy at end is tempting. I like Target jeans too.
Thanks, Carol! Isn’t Target the best?! I just stocked up an $8 tee-shirts … how can you go wrong?! xo
Your porch is so pretty!!! I love the subtle nod to Valentines Day!!! Sometimes the bright red can look a little overdone!! But your porch is just right!! Excited for the tea party post!!! Have a great day!!!
I’ll tell you a secret. I look awful in red. So I tend to reject it in all things … even the house. So silly, really! xo
Love all your special touches –especially the sweets at the end of the post! I’m drooling 🙂 XO Susan http://www.themidlifefashionista.com
Susan! If we weren’t in a pandemic … and you lived closer … we’d eat that cake together. Yes, all of it! xo
I love that you kept it simple. I am growing wearing of EVERYTHING being so over the top and unrealistic. At least for me! LOL. That cake is fabulous too. Can’t wait to see your tea party. Great post kicking off February! XOXO
I’m with you on this, Kimberley … let’s all calm down! With the exception of cake, of course! xo
DARN I LOVE MACAROONS and they are GLUTEN FREE!

The Italian has always been GOOD with surprises ……….watch this YEAR there will be NOTHING!
I LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR TEA PARTY!
I LOOK FORWARD TO SPRING AND HAVING A REAL CUP OF TEA IN YOUR GARDEN!
IT”S GOING TO BE MAGNIFICENT…………….XXX
Of course you love macaroons! I didn’t know they were GF. I did see something mentioned on the Pastreez website about that. Anyway, these are so good I’m going to order a box for Jim for V-Day. I’ll need to stay away from them though. And, maybe he’ll attach diamonds to the dog collars?! Please ask the Italian to call him stat. Seriously, what a GREAT story … when we meet for tea in my garden you must ELABORATE. Now, I must get back to that tea party post. Oh, and watch for your invitation to my2022 Galentine Tea Party Extravaganza at Snowberry. Surely by 2022 we’ll be doing normal things again, right? xo
RIGHT!
What a lovely spot. I really love the pillow and the little heart wreath. Also, those boots are fabulous!
Thanks, Carol … I wish I had more occasions to wear real shoes! xo
This post is as pretty as a picture, or pictures, I should say! The pillow is darling. I love all of your touches. It’s lucky I’m not your neighbor, I would sneak over and steal all your cute stuff!! Have a wonderful week, dear Juliet!
Haha … you’re so funny … if you were my neighbor I would faint from happiness. xo
The pillow is the perfect Valentines Day touch. Very simple and cute! Cant wait to see your tea party ideas!
Thanks, Whitney … wish you and the girls could join me for tea! xo
Hi Juliet,
Your porch looks perfect! I like the subtle hint at Valentine’s Day. My daughter is getting after me to decorate and I guess I’ll do that later today. I just have a few little things that I put out. I might add a heart to the basket of greens and berries that is still on my door from Christmas. Whatever works, right?
The cake looks so good. Please I am not proud, I am begging for an invite to your 2022 tea party!! Ha Ha.
I have the same booties and I love them! After awhile they squeeze my pinky toe a little, but they look good, so totally worth any discomfort!
XO Heidi
You do not need to ask … of course you are on the V-Day Tea Party-Palooza list! Yes, whatever works for your Valentine decor is just right. A pillow, a basket … so easy. And, before we know it it will be March. Interesting about the booties. I bought them in the fall and haven’t gone anywhere so haven’t had them on for any length of time. My feet have acclimated to slipper and may rebel ever wearing real shoes again. Haha! xo
Sweet and simple! Love how you switch up your porch decor for holidays and seasons. So glad you linked those boots! I was a fan when I saw them over on IG 🙂
Juliet I love your pillow and cute wreath. It’s just perfect for your home- welcoming and fun. The jeans look fantastic on you. I have to check them out. I just want comfortable jeans now. I even bought a size larger just for sitting around. Excited to see your tea party. Did you have it for your niece? Sounds lovely. I wish we could have Galentines gatherings.. Maybe next year! By the way the boots are super cute and the right height. I saw a woman hobbling in heels today and thought WHY? Tennis shoes look so cute now and there are so many options. Even at the inauguration- all the women struggling with the darn stilettos. I feel like this pandemic has made me never want to wear heels again. And women look silly. Anyway, loved this post!! You are getting me in the mood for Valentines. I am off to decorate the porch now!
Oh, Kim … I’m so over heels too. And the last wears, my feet hurt before I was out the front door. I’m both thrilled and horrified by Sex and the City’s return … I don’t suppose they’ll be wearing sensible shoes? Great idea to buy a size up in jeans as ‘house jeans’ … I just tried that a well. I think we need to buy up the pairs we like (and are comfortable) because the new styles are so stiff and uncomfortable. Good grief, I sound like an old lady. My tea party post is up … and no, it wasn’t for my niece. It was more of an imaginary party. Jim and I … and our dogs … enjoyed it though. Hope you’re up to something fun this weekend … I’m loving these clear, sunny days! xo
I’m in love with that pillow Juliet! Your porch looks fabulous and so inspiring. Pinned. Thank you for sharing at Charming Homes and Gardens.
