Sunday mornings, how I love you. Sunday afternoons and evenings, not so much.

Do you get the Sunday scaries? It’s a fairly new term to me and brilliantly captures my feelings about Sunday’s.

It’s been a while since I had a legitimate reason to dread Monday mornings, but I do anyway. So for me Sunday’s are days to be at home preparing for the week ahead. That usually means groceries, laundry, meal prep, football and a comfort foodish Sunday dinner.

That’s not all. Brace yourselves. Sunday nights means 60 Minutes followed by Murder, She Wrote and then the CBS evening movie. Remember made for TV movies?! Remember Murder, She Wrote? It went off the air in the mid-90’s and I still miss it.

If you’ve made it this far thanks for indulging my walk down memory lane. Pippa and Maggie are ready for their walk and my cocoa awaits.

Snowberry’s library reveal. It’s on the blog. Finally! 📚

It took a long time to finish, I mean furnish, this room. Yes, those are blue velvet sofas. And, yes, that’s Pippa … one of our two white dogs. What was I thinking? 🤦🏼‍♀️

Despite that small hiccup (we added french doors, problem solved) the library turned out exactly like I envisioned and it’s officially my favorite room in the house. I know, I say that about every room. I hope you like it too! 💙

Today's the day. I'm decorating for fall. I use the word decorating loosely. Less is more is my approach to seasonal decor and so my two fall bins will come down. And then it's all about pillows, throws and pumpkins. Wicker pumpkins inside and real thing on the porch. Come and get 'em Mr. Squirrel.

I try to hold off real pumpkins until October 1st, but I have a crazy busy week coming up and, as I said at the beginning, today's the day.

In addition to the pumpkins, I purchased a few new fall things. A wreath, a doormat and the aforementioned pillows and throws. And, I shared it all ... today on the blog.

I know, I know ... talk about burying the lede. But it's shameful, right? My continually plugging the blog. 'Go to the link in my bio. Read the post. Comment, please.' Over and over again. 😜

Enough of that. I'm off to the nursery for real pumpkins and a few fall annuals to refresh my porch planter and window boxes.

Peer pressure ... do we ever move past it entirely? Not me apparently, which leads us to today's post. 🍂 Last year's fall porch, because this year's fall porch is a couple weeks off. It was 100 degrees yesterday. And the day before that, and the day before that. Plus it's still summer. So why am I posting this? Oh yeah, peer pressure.

Today on the blog ... Snowberry's home gym. Garage home gym. Plus my top 9 home gym essentials. As pumpkin spice season approaches I'm going to appreciate (ahem need) the workout space more than ever.

Happy Tuesday ... it was a whirlwind holiday weeke

Happy Tuesday ... it was a whirlwind holiday weekend at Snowberry! We attend three live performances ... that's right, three. For the first time in well over 18 months.

We kicked off the weekend with Shakespeare ...The Winter's Tale at the Bruns Amphitheater. It was a cold night and we were in down jackets and gloves. Saturday night was a different story and we danced under the stars on a very warm evening at Bottlerock Napa Valley. Guns N' Roses was the headliner. On Sunday we ventured to Marin County for The Allman Betts Band at a waterfront venue ... so much fun. Yesterday, after walking the dogs, we did absolutely nothing.

If the weekend outings weren't enough, I made Prosecco Rose Spritz' and we adopted a stray cat. Her name's Abby and she's adorable. Don't ask what Pippa and Maggie think.

Oh, and how can I forget that Saturday kicked off the college football season. My team performed abysmally ... probably why it slipped my mind. Jim's mighty Trojans got off to a great start.

Labor Day always feels like the end of summer, although it's not. That said, fall is definitely in the air here. Mornings are a little crisper, the sun sets a little earlier but the days are very warm ... it's too soon for pumpkins.
